Presentations: The organizer will provide data projector and computer for PowerPoint presentations (Microsoft Office XP + all older versions). In case of any doubts you can send your presentation by E-mail to Imrich Barak or indicate from where to download it. Please write to the organizer in case you need slide projector and/or over head projector for transparencies. Poster size should be 1m (w) x 1.2 m (h) or smaller. LOCATION

The conference will be held at the Smolenice Castle (the Conference Centre of the Slovak Academy of Sciences) situated 60 km north-east from the capital city Bratislava, at the foot of the Small Carpathian Mountains. The castle provides friendly and inspiring environment for small conferences and accommodates about 70-80 participants with full service (lodging and meals).

TRAVEL

The organisers will provide bus transportation from Bratislava to Smolenice (June 15) and from Smolenice to Bratislava (June 18). The participants can arrive at the Bratislava airport. Another possibility is to fly to Vienna and then take a shuttle to Bratislava Central Bus Station. The Vienna International Airport (Schwechat) is only some 60 km from Bratislava and the shuttle operates about each hour during a day. It will be organized bus transportation June 15 from Bratislava airport (leaving 3:00 pm) and from Bratislava Central Bus station (leaving  3:30pm) to Smolenice castle. Those who will miss these connections can come by local bus service from Central Bus Station to Smolenice village. 

Bus to Bratislava Central bus Station and Bratislava airport from Smolenice castle will leave at 1:30 pm June 18 (appr. 1 hour drive).

CONFERENCE FEE, ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS

The conference fee is 600 EUR per participant. The fee will cover the accommodation for the time of the meeting at the Castle, full meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), transportation Bratislava - Smolenice (return) and direct cost of the conference (abstract book, coffee, social programme, etc.)

The accommodation at the Smolenice Castle is reserved for the participants (max. 70) for the days of the duration of the meeting.

Deadline for payments is March 30, 2006.

SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS

Deadline for abstracts is March 30, 2006. They will be published in the conference abstract book. The format is with title, author and their affiliation, main body of text, length up to one A4 page, double spacing, font size 12. The organizing committee is encouraging young scientists - PhD students and Postdocs to give a talk and will try to accommodate them preferentially into the programme.

REGISTRATION

Please, complete and return preliminary registration form as soon as possible, not later than December 31, 2005.

The second announcement will be distributed only to registered participants.
